Well, this is my first post on my blog. A lot of people don't know much about me, and i wanted to do this for people to know me, past and present. This is something for me to express myself, explain my daily events and my health. I hope to try and let people live a little in my shoes.
So i am going to start by trying to get everyone a little caught up in my life, with a brief history lesson. I am 31 years of age, married to my wonderful wife Kelley, with 2 lovely children Christopher 8, and Kayla 6. Life has in no way been easy but who's is? In my life before marriage i made mistakes just like the next person, tried fixing my wrongs, and tried to make the best of what i had. I was in the navy for a short time which at times i regret not pursuing it farther, but if i had i would not have the family i have now. Ten years ago i was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, and it has been a VERY long and hard struggle. My Diabetes has been very hard an my body my mind and my family, and it is still a daily battle. My blood sugar was over 800 when i got diagnosed and my a1c was almost 17 which if anyone knows anything about diabetes these numbers are TERRIBLE. Today my numbers are still not perfect but i do my best with what i have. Diabetes has caused many health problems for me such as being almost blind in my right eye, and i have diabetic neuropathy in my legs and feet, with muscleatraphy in my feet as well. These cause walking for me to very difficult and very painful, try to walk on a bed of needles on fire with bruised feet, kinda close i guess. I have not had insurance basically since i was diagnosed, so getting the best help has been very hard. Enough about that there will be many more stories about my diabetes.
Something else to get you caught up, i have in recent years lost alot of very important people in my life, i know everyone loses loved ones but this has caused my life to change a lot. My uncle in 2002 my grandmother in 07 and my mother in 08. My mother and grandmother were and still are amazing woman and did a lot for me. i was blessed to have had them in my life and still to this day there are ways they impact my life. I have 2 younger sisters heather 28 and stephanie 21. who have done their best to help me since my mother has been gone, but everyone knows brothers and sisters do not always get along.
So after this post i will mention some past events to make the present more understandable and will try and make it a daily thing, some may be random, but try and make them make sense.
